A recording artist in Indianapolis
I am an Indianapolis native. I grew up in the Martindale-Brightwood neighborhood and Haughville. I went to Crispus Attucks Middle School and Cathedral High School.
In fourth grade, inspired after watching my cousin Ruben win American Idol. I participated in a lot of school talent shows, as well as in my church’s children’s choir.
My music videos had been viral before, so my initial goal before we started filming was 100,000 views. Then when the video surpassed 200K, 300K, 500K and 800K, I was blown away and just can’t wait for it to reach a million views.
A dozen yeast. There is nothing better in the world.
Performing for USC, Ohio State, and Baylor were my personal favorites. It was also crazy filming a music video inside Assembly Hall for the IU women’s basketball team.
A bucket list team would be the Colts – that would be a dream come true. I’m 17 states shy from performing a theme song for a university sports team in every state in America, so that will be cool once I reach that goal.
Growing up and seeing guys like G Fresh and Maxie putting Indianapolis on MTV was so cool. Also seeing how big Dro Man made the Jiggalate movement was cool as well.
Highlighting youth, their stories, their accomplishments in sports and in the classroom. Also connecting them with professional athletes to encourage them by sharing their journeys with them and being able to ask them questions.
I probably eat R&R more than anything, and I love Famous Dave’s as well.
Obviously we have the best doughnuts in the world and the best children’s museum in the world. Our soul food is so good, it’s the reason I weigh 200 and too much [laughs]. The high school basketball scene is second to none. It’s an amazing city with endless opportunity and potential.
