Strikes for Stansfield - Online Auction to Benefit Community Outreach Programs

March 1, 2021

“Strikes for Stansfield”, the 10th annual fundraiser for Fletcher Place Community Center (FPCC) will be a silent auction event with items to bid on for all ages and interests. All net proceeds from this philanthropic event, sponsored by Stansfield Circle, will provide food, clothing, pantry goods, preschool supplies, enrichment programs, hot meals and senior outreach initiatives. Online bidder registration is required and will open on February 14, 2021 at https://wedoauctions.com/bidapp/index.php?slug=sfs. There is no fee to view the auction items. Live bidding will begin March 1 at 10:00 a.m. EST and close on March 7 at 3:00 p.m. EST.

BKD will be a returning sponsor of Strikes for Stansfield. Premiere auction items include distinctive custom jewelry by Jeff West Jewelry Designs; Arrow McLaren SP private garage tour at IMS; 2003 Victory Vegas cruiser motorcycle; a Tucson, Arizona Excursion; exceptional accessory from Khamis Jewelers; a Silly Safari Extreme Birthday Party and more.

“This year, we’re really relying on past participants, press coverage and social media shares of friends and family to spread the word about our online auction. This is our only fundraiser to raise awareness and donations for Fletcher Place Community Center. We would prefer to be hosting our annual fun-filled bowling event, as we have done for the past nine years, but due to Covid safety concerns, a virtual event was the right solution this year. The need to lift up our neighbors, young and old, in the near-downtown area is so great. We must continue to do all that we can to help,” said “Strikes for Stansfield” co-chairs Babette Miller and Becky Gillum. Last year, “Strikes for Stansfield” raised over $25,000 for FPCC.

Fletcher Place Community Center has been effectively and compassionately serving the needs of the near-eastside community since 1872. Stansfield Circle, one of Indiana’s oldest non-profit organizations, provides funding and hundreds of hours of volunteer aid to Fletcher Place in historic Fountain Square.
