Shop Small this Saturday on Mass Ave

NOVEMBER 25, 2020

One of my favorite days of the year is approaching – not Thanksgiving, not the holidays, but Small Business Saturday. The air gets a bit chilly, the Christmas shopping lists are made, and the energy from small businesses creates a stir of excitement as we head into the holidays.

And with a wide selection of local shops participating in Small Business Saturday, you can get ahead of the holiday shopping and support your favorite Indy stores. Mass Ave’s Small Business Saturday celebration has creative new developments in place for you to safely enjoy this “holiday.”

Mass Ave’s Small Business Saturday

With around 20 participating stores opening their doors at 9 am sharp, Mass Ave will bring together some of the most popular local shops for Small Business Saturday. Shop whimsical charm at Silver in the City, canine treats at City Dogs Grocery, and household items with a twist at Chatham Home. A full list of participating stores can be found below.

Silver in the CityYet perhaps the most exciting element of this Saturday (and Sunday!) is the extra goodies you can take home when you shop in store or order online. The first 10 guests at every store when doors open at 9 am will receive a free Swag Bag full of surprises from each shop. If you are looking to shop in-person this Saturday, be sure to arrive early – facemask at the ready! – to snatch a coveted Swag Bag.

Curbside Pickup Sunday

Plus, if you shop online this Small Business Saturday, you’ll be able to pick up your items during Curbside Pickup Sunday. This event, planned by the Mass Ave Merchants Association, is a seamless way for you to retrieve your orders and take them home and place underneath the Christmas tree. A drive-thru set up will be implemented along Mass Ave, and the first 100 cars to arrive will receive a free Swag Bag, similar to those seen when shopping in-person.

So, if you are like me and want to dedicate the holiday season to supporting local and stressing less for the gift-giving, Small Business Saturday along Mass Ave is your key to success. See you there on Curbside Pickup Sunday!
