Over the years, the museum has amassed one of the world's largest, and most varied collections of racing, antique and classic cars, including more than 30 that have won the Indianapolis 500. It offers 37,500 square feet of exhibit space featuring cars, trophies, photographs, racing records, memorabilia, and fine art celebrating more than a century of the innovation, thrill, and cultural significance of motor racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
In addition to permanent displays, the Museum has regular rotations of exhibits that spotlight drivers, racing history and the Indianapolis 500. Hands-on and interactive elements can be found throughout the Museum sure to thrill race fans of all ages.

Kiss the Bricks Tour:
A 30-minute narrated lap around the IMS oval with a stop at the famed “Yard of Bricks” at the start/finish line for your own “Kiss the Bricks” photo moment.

Behind-the-Scenes Tour:
A 60-minute tour provides a behind-the-scenes view of “The Racing Capital of the World” including Gasoline Alley, Victory Podium and the Pagoda. (This tour does not include a lap around the track)

The VIP Tour:
This 90-minute narrated tour takes you around the famed 2.5-mile oval and through key landmarks, giving you unparalleled access to the historic Speedway facility. Take a lap on the track, stop at Pagoda Plaza, stand on the famous Yard of Bricks at the start/finish line, and cruise through Gasoline Alley.

Golf Cart Tour:
This two-hour guided tour provides an intimate, in-depth tour of the facility, included areas with restricted access during events. The tour includes a visit to the famed “Yard of Bricks” at the start/finish line, with the option to “Kiss the Bricks”, Behind-the-scenes access to the following the Media Center, Pagoda (Timing & Scoring, Race Control rooms), Victory Podium, the ‘Snake Pit’ concert area, and a corporate suite as well as a driving tour of Gasoline Alley and the Garage Area. Minimum age is 12, and minors must be accompanied by an adult.

The Basement Collection Tour:
The basement level of the IMS Museum took on a mythical reputation for 40 years, and deservedly so. It’s a repository of rare, priceless and one-of-a-kind racing and automotive artifacts and vehicles, ranging from pre-war motorcycles and Indiana-built automobiles to Indy 500 Pace Cars and winning sports cars, to modern-era Indy cars. Today you can enjoy an exclusive 30-minute tour of the Museum’s underground auto storage. Guided by only the most knowledgeable IMS Museum Hosts. Sorry, no cameras or phones with cameras allowed on the tour. No photos, no video allowed.
Cost (minimum age is 16), $150 per person
