There ain’t no party like a Lizzo party.

On Saturday, June 8, the boundless pop star will headline Indy Pride Festival, bringing her sass, spirit, and soul to Indiana’s largest celebration of the LGBTQ+ community. Held annually at Historic Military Park at White River State Park, Indy Pride Festival serves as the grand finale to Pride Week 2019, which also features several other events around town between June 1 and June 8.

Released on April 19, 2019, Lizzo’s new album, Cuz I Love You, marks her biggest breakthrough yet. Featuring songs like “Juice,” “Soulmate,” and “Truth Hurts,” the album debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 chart. In addition to its commercial success, Cuz I Love You also marks the latest chapter in Lizzo’s spirited journey as a self-confident music star.

“This is a way more confident Lizzo who believes in her confidence,” she exclaims. “For the last three years, I’ve been working on myself and learning how to love who I am.”

“There were moments that would’ve completely defeated me when I was younger,” she continues. “Instead, I was able to not just survive, but thrive. This is the person who I truly want to be. It’s a self-filling prophecy ready for the world.”
