Instagrammable Fall Places Around Indy

SEPTEMBER 15, 2022

As the sun sets on summer and fall colorfully presents itself, we have a list of Instagrammable autumn spots that are fully worth capturing. Whether you visit one of the many picturesque city scenes, indulge in the seasonal flavors, or completely immerse yourself in Spooky Season, these locations are unique to Indy and are ready for their close-up.

Scenic Backdrops

Newfields' Harvest Nights Festival and Displays

Saturated with more pumpkins than you may have ever laid your eyes on, glowing and carved with the greatest artistic ability, Newfields is overflowing with festive photo ops. Their annual Harvest Nights Festival is returning to bring visitors a fog-filled and memorable fall evening through the end of October

Conner Prairie Sunflower Fields

Available for just eleven days, the Conner Prairie Sunflower Fields are the prime backdrop for any snapshot. The Indiana-native flower is spread across three acres and features plenty of lined walking paths that you must see for yourself.

Spooky Season Stroll

Indianapolis Ghost Walk

Dive into the eeriness of fall by taking a walk alongside the departed. With chilling opportunities of touring an Underground Railroad in Westfield, the beer rooms and historic properties in Noblesville, or the long-standing theatres and buildings of downtown Indy, these sites are full of picturesque views and unsettling moments that may accidentally be caught on camera…

Phone eats (or drinks) first

Fall brings with it colder weather, football season, and most importantly, specialty fall flavors! Get a taste of local favorites’ seasonal cuisine and/or refreshments, and make sure to take a picture because it will likely last longer than the actual dish.

A few flavorful delights include:

Sun King Brewery drafts up their infamous Oktoberfest German-style lager from August to October.

Neidhammer Coffee Shop’s mouthwatering pumpkin patch and apple butter lattes will leave you wanting more.

Just Pop In! Popcorn Cafe and Bar offers irresistible fall-inspired concoctions, such as their s’mores and campfire crunch.
