Select Indy Attractions Offer Free Admission on Museum Day Live!

Smithsonian Magazine's 12th annual Museum Day Live! is this Saturday, September 24. This means admission to select museums in Indy (Indiana History Center, Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library, Rhythm! Discovery Center and Conner Prairie) are free on Saturday when you print off the official ticket here.

Indiana Historical Society

The Indiana History Center has an interactive “You Are There” exhibit series that helps bring Indiana’s past to life. Guests can enjoy music from a legendary Hoosier in the Cole Porter Room or learn about the preservation of Indiana history in the W. Brooks and Wanda Y. Fortune History Lab. The Indiana History Center connects guests to Indiana’s past by highlighting important times in the state’s history.
Vonnegut Memorial Library
The Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library is a unique way to marvel at the works of the satirical, Hoosier author. The Museum showcases important items from his life, such as his typewriter, reading glasses, and family photos.
Rhythm Discovery Center
Rhythm! Discovery Center is the world’s foremost interactive percussion museum with exhibits highlighting cultures from all around the world. Your family will love the opportunity to play some instruments and learn about the differnt drum techniques.
Conner Prairie
An interactive history park, Conner Prairie is one of the most-visited outdoor museums in the country. Transporting visitors back to the 1800s, Conner Prairie uses the past to show visitors the future. Popular experiences include the 1859 Balloon Voyage and brand-new Treetop Outpost

Reminder: To receive free admission you must download a ticket and show it at the museum you choose to attend. The ticket will give free admission to you and one guest and can only be used at one location. This free opportunity will provide educational lessons and positive memories to all who participate.
