Hispanic Heritage Fiesta presented by Indiana Donor Network coincides with National Hispanic Heritage Month each year to celebrate Latin culture during the independence period for the Latin American countries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.
This event is a great enhance to a Zoo visit! Hispanic Heritage Fiesta includes extra festivities that celebrate this great culture with an animal scavenger hunt, a piñata every hour, community partners, bright decorations and Latin-inspired food! This year our speciality food options available for purchase included tostadas, elotes, tamales, street tacos, flan and cinnomon churros, Our crafts were Mexican tissue paper flowers, Repujado Mexican cuff bracelet, and castanets. Hispanic Heritage Fiesta is included with regular Zoo admission and free for Zoo members. Discount Zoo tickets for this day can be purchased in advance weekdays at La Voz de Indiana bilingual newspaper.
