General American Donut Company is Indy's craft donut shop. This gourmet donut and coffee house is located in a restored print shop just a few blocks south of downtown in the Historic Fletcher Place/Holy Rosary neighborhood. GADCO's mid century modern furniture, exposed barrel roof architecture and modern industrial feel, complete with movies and cartoons projected on a cement block wall, create the perfect coffee hang out. GADCO makes all their delicious donut creations from scratch, by hand, using the finest ingredients. From the huge raised glaze to the maple bourbon bacon to the crème' brulee, all of GADCO's donuts are made fresh everyday. The folks at GADCO are just as serious about their coffee as they are about their fried treats. GADCO is the only place in Indiana where you can get a cup of Stumptown Coffee...the near legendary coffee roaster based in Portland, Oregon. Whether you get a creamy espresso drink or a strong cup of drip, you can’t find a better cup of coffee anywhere in Indy…But it doesn’t stop there. Have you ever had a donut dog? Well, the donut dog is a premium hotdog served on a pillowy soft, raised yeast bun topped with outrageously delicious ingredients. Lunch is served!
Since opening in mid July 2014, GADCO has received universal praise for their handcrafted donuts and for bringing a little Northwest coffee culture to Indy. Hang out, sample donuts, sip a coffee or grab lunch. One of Indy's must see, eat and drink destinations.
