Gen Con Indy is the original, longest-running, best-attended, gaming convention in the world.
With thousands of events, a costume contest, film festival, anime, Authors' Avenue, art show, and more, Gen Con is a can't-miss event.
A highlight of this year's 50th anniversary celebration is a concert with Grammy Award winning recording artists They Might Be Giants.
“Gen Con attendees are some of the most passionate, loyal people in the world, and we wanted to create yet another memorable, ‘can’t miss experience’ for them for Gen Con 50,” said Adrian Swartout, CEO/Owner of Gen Con. “They Might Be Giants has an impressive catalog of music that spans decades, and we hope that this concert sparks wonderful new memories for gamers of all ages.”
This concert represents Gen Con’s first usage of Indianapolis’ Bankers Life Fieldhouse, home to the NBA’s Indianapolis Pacers. The convention currently uses the entire Indiana Convention Center, Lucas Oil Stadium, and seven participating hotel convention spaces.
They Might Be Giants have been delivering highly energetic, highly melodic, and highly imaginative music for more than thirty years. They write, record, and perform continuously. Brooklyn’s original alternative rockers have made more than a dozen albums, sold more than a million, and won a couple of Grammys. They have created DVD and book projects for kids, and contributed themes and songs to numerous television and film projects. More details coming soon!
