Four Indy Pumpkin Patches

SEPTEMBER 15, 2020

The crisp air blows through the Circle City. The leaves gently begin to fall, and mums make their way to the front stoop. I can think of nothing lovelier than an Indiana autumn. If you love pumpkin spice and everything nice, I can promise you’ll find the perfect place around Indy to pick your pumpkin. From downtown to the rural communities surrounding the metro area, you’ll find all of the fall fun when you visit Indy.

Waterman's Pumpkin

Waterman’s Family Farm

With two Indy area locations, Waterman’s Family Farm has been bringing fall fun to the Circle City for decades! You can head to the Raymond Street location in Indianapolis or venture south on 37 to the Greenwood location. Choose from both pumpkin pie pumpkins and those best suited to carve your own jack-o-lantern. Be sure you pick up amazing locally grown produce of every variety. My favorite experience at Waterman’s Family Farm is Tyranni T. Dinosaur, the pumpkin-chomping dinosaur (Raymond Street location).  Find all of the special events, attractions, and more here.

Kelsay Farms

Have a fall experiences that mooo-ves you. Located just south of the city Kelsay Dairy Farm yearly features a pumpkin patch and so much more. Check out the seven-acre corn maze. The corncrib play area is always a hit with the younger set. And of course you get to enjoy all things bovine – the milking parlor, milkshakes, and cheese, glorious cheese.

Piney Acres Farm

Located north of Indy in adorable Fortville, Ind., Piney Acres farm offers all of the traditional family fun of fall, including a corn maze, hayrides, barnyard animals, and a farm store packed with delicious treats. Kids will love the Kids Zone with a smaller kid sized maze, pumpkin bowling, rope maze, jump pad, giant rocking chair, and so much more! You can find hours, location, and details here.

Adrian Orchards

Adrian Orchards knows how to do celebrate the season of fall! They’ve been featuring the flavors of fall for 91 years. They also boast a world record for fastest apple picker. In September of 1980, George J. Adrian picked 365? bushels of apples in only eight hours. That’s over 15,000 pounds people! Get your apples, cider, pumpkins, and much more at this historic orchard in Indy.

No matter where you pick your pumpkin, you’re certain to have a season to remember this fall in Indianapolis.
