In this new permanent exhibit, guests explore the culture and communities of Indiana’s founding people by learning about games these nations used to play, tools and traditions that were passed down through generations, food preparation and more. The exhibit also shares how descendants of those nations continue to thrive in the modern day. First Nations covers the time period from about 12,000 years ago up to about 318 years ago.
