Before heading back to Bloomington, IN to begin her senior year at Indiana University, Megan Stanbrough is ecstatic to be spending her summer working as the Communications Intern at Visit Indy. Megan grew up in Carmel, but has been fascinated by everything Indianapolis has to offer since the day she got her driver’s license. A Journalism major with a concentration in Public Relations, she enjoys combining her love for storytelling with the professional maintenance of a favorable image. On a regular day you can find her enjoying yummy food on Mass Ave, walking her dogs on the Monon Trail, or meeting her friends in Broad Ripple for an afternoon of shopping.

Eleven Ways to Celebrate Stranger Things 3 in Indy

Ever wanted to sit in a hotel room and watch your favorite Netflix show all night? What if that room was decorated in the theme of that show? In honor of Stranger Things’ third season coming out July 4th, Indianapolis is doing just that with Eleven Ways to Celebrate Stranger Things 3 in Indy.

The show takes place in Hawkins, IN, which does not actually exist. While fans cannot visit Hawkins, IN, to express their love for the show, they are encouraged to book the Stranger Things Hotel package at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown in the real capital of Indiana.

Perfect for the die-hard fans who really want to be fully immersed in the Upside Down, the $209-a-night-package –  which is available until September 28, 2019 – has all the goods necessary for a successful night of binge-watching, including all the Netflix you can handle, Hasbro’s official Stranger Things card game, string lights replicating Joyce Byer’s living room wall, themed bedding and a collectible mug.

To fuel you through the 8-episode marathon, some of Indy’s top restaurants have altered their menus in order to satisfy everyone’s Stranger Things fix.

Not convinced? Does a Stranger Things Burger at Burger Study, Upside Down cocktails at Spoke & Steele, or customized macarons at Gallery Pastry Shop change your mind? Great, because the list goes on and on!

Whether fans make it through the whole season in one night (judgements aside) or indulge in an Eggo waffle sandwich, nothing will compare to Indy during the season 3 release of Stranger Things.
