Year in Review: Indy in the News

DECEMBER 5, 2017 • MORGAN SNYDER
Not only did Indy rack up top accolades like “Best Places to Travel in 2017” from powerhouse travel authorities like Travel + Leisure, but Indy’s story on our growing food scene, attractive niche neighborhoods, impressive trail scene and our top-tier family friendly destinations grabbed the attention of media from around the country. MARCH 1, 2017 • SETH JOHNSON
2017 marks 10 years since Vonnegut passed away, and Visit Indy is celebrating with a “Cheers to Vonnegut” campaign. As a part of this campaign, 11 bartenders in the city have created Vonnegut-inspired cocktails to be featured on their respective menus for six weeks throughout winter and spring. This week I clinked glasses with Ethan Rogers at Hotel Tango Artisan Distillery.

Cheers to Vonnegut with Ball & Biscuit

FEBRUARY 8, 2017 • SETH JOHNSON
Celebrate the Year of Vonnegut in Indy with 11 cocktails concocted by the city’s top mixologists. For 11 weeks, you’ll have the opportunity to try these Vonnegut-inspired cocktails. For each drink, I sat down to catch up with the bartender who crafted it, asking him or her a series of questions about what inspired the drink. Next up, is a Q&A with Kendall Lockwood from ball & biscuit.
