CANCELLED - Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament

The Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament returning in 2020 and 2022 will mark the eleventh and twelfth times that the tournament has been hosted in Indianapolis (2002, 2004, 2006, 2008-12, 2014, 2016).

All 14 conference schools will participate in the tournament, which tips off Wednesday, March 11, with first-round games between the No. 12 and 13 seeds, and the No. 11 and 14 seeds. The No. 5-10 seeds will begin tournament play with second-round games on Thursday, March 12, while the four highest-seeded teams following regular-season play will earn first- and second-round byes and make their tournament debuts in the quarterfinal round on Friday, March 13. The semifinals will take place Saturday, March 14, with the championship game slated for Sunday, March 15.

    The IN the Game Block Party at Virginia Plaza.

  • March 14
    The Saturday Party at Union Station featuring complimentary food and beverage tastings, live music, and performances by bands and cheerleaders. Ticket required.

  • March 14
    The Free Throw Competition at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Four Indy schools have engaged in an inter-school competition and four winners from each school will be selected to attend the final shootout.

  • March 14
    Big Ten Circuit on the Circle. The Big Ten and Indiana Sports Corp in partnership with the November Project and Shred415 Fitness will host an outdoor circuit workout on Monument Circle. The event is ticketed and is open to all ages. Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite Big Ten teams gear.

  • March 15
    Boys Basketball Clinic at Irsay Family YMCA. The Big Ten Conference and Indiana Sports Corp will host a free boys’ basketball clinic on Championship Sunday for 150 students grade 6th and under. Participants will receive a clinic t-shirt. Pre-registration for the clinic is required.

  • March 15
    Championship Sunday Pep Rally outside Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Fans are invited to come downtown early and prepare for the championship game. The programming will include band and cheer and drumline performances, and much more.
