Two Not-To-Miss Events this Indiana Black Expo Summer Celebration

JULY 12, 2021

The Circle City is buzzing with excitement this week as Indiana Black Expo returns for Summer Celebration, the largest and longest running Black cultural event in the nation. This year, there is even more to celebrate as Indiana Black Expo marks 50 years hosting these empowering in-person festivities for Black communities.

Following an all-virtual conference in 2020, the 50th Annual Summer Celebration – which began on July 8 and proceeds through July 18 – gathers thousands of visitors for hands-on initiatives to foster growth in Black communities. And with a few of the most anticipated events being open to the public, you can join in on the fun.

Here are the details on two public events you won’t want to miss this Summer Celebration.

1. Free Outdoor Concert

Friday, July 16, 6 pm | Lucas Oil Raceway

Get in the groove and start your weekend right with a completely free concert hosted by Summer Celebration. Welcome musical guests Keith Sweat, Stephanie Mills, Johnny Gill and El DeBarge to the stage at Lucas Oil Raceway. Learn more here.

2. All White Affair

Saturday, July 17, 10 pm – 3 am | The Pavilion at Pan Am

Don your favorite white cocktail dress or suit ensemble and join Indiana Black Expo's "official after party." Featuring Dru Hill and Raheem DeVaughn, the night is hosted by DJ Kid Capri. Tickets start at $50 with advanced purchase for general admission. For VIP access, tickets begin at $100 with advanced purchase. Purchase tickets here.
