Experience Art & Soul Sundays at the Indianapolis Artsgarden. These free, family friendly performances bring together current Featured Artists and alumni from the past 30 years for an afternoon of music and artistic expression.
2026 Featured Artist: Auboni Essence
Auboni Essence is a poet and performer whose work blends personal experience with universal truth. Recently, they competed nationally with a slam poetry team, headlined That Peace Open Mic, and led a six-week youth poetry workshop and showcase. Known for their authenticity and magnetic stage presence, Auboni transforms every space into a platform for connection. Their work reflects a commitment to exploring life’s joys and struggles while inspiring audiences.
Parking is available in the Red Garage and via paid street parking.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Since 1996, Art & Soul has celebrated outstanding Black artists and musicians in Indianapolis. Each year, four Featured Artists are recognized through performances, exhibitions, and community arts opportunities that showcase the depth and creativity of local talent.
Art & Soul is hosted by Indy Arts Council and supported annually by Lilly Endowment Inc.
