While the leaves might be changing colors, music festival season still isn’t quite over in Indianapolis.
Slated to take place over the weekend of Oct. 1-2, Indy Jazz Fest returns to Garfield Park in 2022 with another world-class lineup of performers. Showcasing Grammy award winners, local Indy standouts and everything in between, the festival will feature a wide variety of artists that fit under the jazz umbrella, from the New Orleans funk stylings of Tank and the Bangas to R&B chart-topper Lalah Hathaway.
“We could not be more excited to return to outdoor performances,” says Indy Jazz Fest director David Allee. “The ability to offer a setting where all ages can enjoy the wide range of jazz styles meets the core mission of the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation in attracting new audiences to the jazz idiom.”
Gates to the festival will open at 2 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, with performances taking place on the MacAllister Amphitheater stage. Below is a quick rundown of what you can expect to hear at Indy Jazz Fest 2022.
