NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship – First/Second Rounds

It’s March, so let the madness begin! Bankers Life Fieldhouse hosts 8 teams for the first and second rounds of the men’s tournament Friday and Sunday. Game tickets start at $162.50, but viewing practices Thursday is free. Participating teams are Oklahoma State, Jacksonville State, Michigan, Louisville, Dayton, Kentucky, Wichita State, and Northern Kentucky.

Blarney Bash

Blarney Bash on Georgia Street

Green is the popular color Friday at downtown’s largest St. Patty’s Day party! Enjoy food from Which Wich and Backyard BBQ Indy, watch basketball on the big screens, drink your fill of green Coors Light, and dance to live music from The Late Show, The Doo, and My Yellow Rickshaw. Tickets are $7 and up.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Friday is a good day to be Irish, or at least celebrate the Irish spirit at downtown’s annual parade featuring bag pipes, drums, Irish dancers, floats, school bands, and more. Before and after the parade, a block party on Vermont Street has live music from Eunan McIntyre and Highland Reign, a beer garden, food, and interactive fun. There is no cost to attend the parade or party.

Brickworld Indy LEGO Expo

Brickworld Indy LEGO Expo at the Indiana State Fairgrounds

Brickworld is the original LEGO exposition featuring the local artists and engineers of the Indiana LEGO User Group who fill 60,000 square feet of exhibit space with millions of LEGO bricks and incredible creations. Bring the whole family Saturday-Sunday for interactive fun and shop for new sets and figures from the many vendors on hand. Admission is $12. Kids 3 and under are free.

Monster Energy AMA Supercross

Monster Energy AMA Supercross

This Saturday Lucas Oil Stadium transforms into a dirt track, complete with steep jumps and tough obstacles. Watch Supercross professionals in man-versus-machine showdowns performing some of the sport’s most difficult and technical tricks. Tickets start at $10, but you won’t want to miss the behind-the-scenes access at the Pit Party for an additional $10.
